End Date: Sun 19 Oct 2008 Year 2008 draws the 36rd anniversary of the annual Festival of the Forest celebration where talented individuals of the community gain the opportunity to showcase some of the most exceptional artworks North Queensland has to offer. The festival is proudly supported by donations from local businesses and attracts visitors from all over the world with an exhibition which opens on Saturday the 4th to 19th October. There exists seven different categories open to all age groups with a central guideline that all artwork material comes from an indigenous timber species. Prize money to the value of $2700 is offered to division winners of the following categories: Sculpture; Painting; High & Low Relief; Craft; Wood Turning; Pyrography. This year's theme is "TBA"
