End Date: Sat 16 Oct 2010 Year 2009 draws the 38th anniversary of the annual Festival of the Forest celebration where talented individuals of the community gain the opportunity to showcase some of the most exceptional artworks North Queensland has to offer. The festival is proudly supported by donations from local businesses and attracts visitors from all over the world with an exhibition which opens on Saturday the 2nd to 16th October. There exists seven different categories open to all age groups with a central guideline that all artwork material comes from an indigenous timber species. Prize money to the value of $2700 is offered to division winners of the following categories: Sculpture; Painting; High & Low Relief; Craft; Wood Turning; Pyrography. This year's theme is TBA
